The school system in the canton of Zurich has kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and high schools. In the canton of Aargau, the term “Bezirksschule" - District School - is also used for a school covering the upper grades. Similar terms are used in the cantons of Schaffhausen, Thurgau and Zug.

As an alternative to the public schools, we offer you a choice from among more than 200 private schools. You have the choice of a school with a Swiss curriculum or a bilingual school for your child. We’ll also advise you on choosing a school with an international dimension (offering the International Baccalaureate IB, A-Levels, High School or AP Diplomas).
